William Morris Red Strawberry Thief 147cm Round Floral Cotton Tablecloth
This licensed William Morris Strawberry Thief design was first produced in 1883.
The design was a triumph for Morris as it marked the perfecting of the indigo-discharge technique of printing at Merton Abbey.
The design was inspired by William Morris’s observation of the thrushes stealing his strawberries from under the fruit nets at his home, Kelmscott Manor.
Measurements: The round tablecloth measures 147cm across the width and has a hemmed edge.
The Red Strawberry Thief design has been printed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
The tablecloth is machine washable at 40 degrees.
