About us

The shop was founded by my grandmother Brede Hyland all those years ago selling Irish crafts. As time progressed Brede was joined in the shop by my mother Anne Sharkey and is now managed by myself - Caroline.

Initially the shop stocked Irish gifts and household items to suit every decor, ranging from lamps, linen and towels, paintings and mirrors to soaps and candles as well as luxurious leather handbags and gloves which were the height of fashion at the time! Today we stock all of the above as well as a  really eclectic mix of items which change daily. We are proud supporters of Irish crafts people and artists and stock an extensive range or Irish crafts, jewellery and pictures. We also specialise in seasonal decorations and collectables for Halloween, Easter and Christmas. Our customers tell us that their Christmas memories start here with their Christmas decoration collection which they add to every year.  Now 39 years on my own daughter, Jayne ( pictured as a baby below ) is helping to move the shop into the internet age, whilst Im making sure the shop retains its renowned character and charm.
